beaterCore
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
beaterCore is an arcade racing game for those who prefer cheap rusty beaters over the specialized sports cars. Buy, repair, restore, and tune your dream project car. Take part in racing events and work your way through the career mode.

Garage

Repair your car in first person mode. Purchase furniture and stockpile as many spare parts as you can - you're going to need them.
Field repair
In beaterCore you'll have to make quick repairs in-between races. Everything can go wrong, and you must be prepared for it! Store items in your car's trunk, but be wise with what you bring with you - space is limited.
Split screen

Play locally with up to four players on the same screen. Keyboard controls are fully supported!
Multiplayer

If career mode is not enough - you can always compete against your friends in online races. You're still going to need your resource management skills - multiplayer races affect your cars the same way as in career mode! Show off your pristine ride, or surprise your friends with track-specific tuning.
Multiple charismatic characters

beaterCore features multiple in-game characters you'll have to interact with. Take sponsorships, complete quests, and unlock additional content as you build relationships with them.
Different times of year

Experience tracks across different times of year. Prepare your car for icy winter conditions or enjoy the warm, vibrant colors of autumn.

I can barely hear the co-driver in the time attack :(
Will make sure to add volume slider for pace notes in the next update!
Hi newly. Thanks for fixing the previous error in Linux. However, now I'm getting a new error on that platform. If you're not developing in Linux, I'd suggest you to try it in a VM to ensure it at least starts up. Thank you for your time.
Hi! Sorry for that! This issue is unrelated to linux, it appears on Intel/AMD GPUs, I've worked all night to publish a fix xD
Sorry for publishing a version with such an issue, everyone who tested the game before publishing were using NVidia GPUs so it remained uncaught.
Download beaterCore 0.0.2.1 and it should get resolved
I feel very bad for the lack of hardware testing before publishing xD
I'm actually developing the game mainly on a Linux PC, I just run X11 instead of Wayland, so that's why the first issue you had was uncaught before release
Let me know if you have any other problems, I'm happy to help!
